I recently took a survey for our favorite creative software company, Adobe, about user experience, pricing, and overall impressions of the company. I jumped at the chance to be heard since so many of my students complain about Adobe’s software license practices, especially with the new subscription based Creative Cloud.
The survey was typical, but some of the questions shed a little light on a possible introduction of an iPad lightroom component. Here are some interesting screen grabs.
Notice at the bottom of the list, Lightroom Mobile. The pricing is ludicrous! $4 a month when you can buy most apps for $0.99. Come on Adobe! That is why everyone hates you!
But what would Lightroom Mobile do? Well from other areas of the survey, I found the following:
If your wish is to seamlessly sync your iPhone/iPad images to Lightroom, and to be able to do similar editing on the device itself. . . it sounds like Adobe has a fun thing coming! Too bad they are probably gonna leave a bad taste in our mouths with pricing (as usual).
